Shtetlink [February 2010]
Jewish Cemetery: Located at 47 º35' 16º28', 42.8 miles S of Wien in Burgenland, Austria. I visited there twice, last time on 1982. The large cemetery was surrounded by a wall. An old lady had the key for the gate. There were lots of weeds everywhere; and most of the stones were in bad condition though I could read some Hebrew and German writing, including one stone with the surname of Lederer. The Jewish museum in Eisenstadt might have more details. Source: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. [September 2006]

Lackenbach Jewish Cemetery main entrance-gate address: Via short dirt road, opposite no. 2 RitzingerStrasse (near corner of BergStrasse).
The cemetery is maintained by IKG Wien and the local authorities. Most gravestones are either destroyed or un-readable, a few were newly restored.
The local government cleans the grown vegetation in the cemetery once a year during spring. When I visited there, it was 2 weeks before the cleaning, the cemetery was covered with thick bush and wildflowers which made it colourful but hard to walk and to find graves.
